Climbing around Merano

You will find numerous climbing opportunities. Explore the outdoor bouldering area in Algund/Lagundo, which is one of the largest in South Tyrol. The "Bergkristall" climbing parks in Pfelders/Plan in Passeier Valley, "Fragsburg" above Merano and "Burgstollknott" in nearby Partschings/Parcines offer plenty of fun for adrenaline junkies. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the large climbing centre "Rockarena" in Merano will make every climber's heart beat faster.

Would you like to feel as free as a bird for once, marvelling at the breath-taking landscape and mountains of South Tyrol from above? Then paragliding is just the thing for you. A sun-drenched panoramic terrace above Merano, Schenna/Scena is a true paradise and a perfect starting point for all those who want a bird's eye view of the surroundings. For this, the nearby valleys Ulten/Ultimo and Passeier/Passiria offer the ideal conditions.

The area around Schenna/Scena is best explored on two wheels. Golf in Schenna

There are three golf courses in the immediate vicinity that offer great golfing with the best panoramic views of the magnificent mountain region. The scenic 18-hole Golfclub Passeier.Meran is about 18 km away. In Eppan/Appiano, the golf course "The Blue Monster" awaits you with nine challenging golf courses on more than 10,000 square metres of green and in Lana, there is the 9-hole course at the Golfclub Lana.
